"In the last few years of my thirties I found my health slipping. Normally thin and very active, I began gaining weight, loosing energy, and becoming more-and-more susceptible to seasonal colds and other infections. Until then, what to eat had never been an issue. By the time I turned forty, a bout of viral meningitis and the crushing fatigue that followed made exercise nearly impossible and everyday chores of doing laundry, grocery shopping, and cooking overwhelming. For a time my wonderful partner took over these tasks, with me pitching in whenever I could. Most nights he'd phone to discuss what to pick up for dinner: Burritos? Chinese? Burgers? Or we'd just go out.
I spent some time looking for help with my health issues and trying different things to help me feel better. After a long process, I finally found clinical nutritionist, Skip Shoden, who in turn referred me to Peggy Curry to help me with meal planning. Working in tandem with these two since early this year has been a miracle. By complimenting my supplementation program with healthful cooking, I've lost weight, increased my energy and stamina, and avoided catching any winter or spring colds. I'm now beginning to take up some light exercise and have been taking on my share of the chores. More importantly, instead of take-out, my partner comes home to wonderful home cooked meals, lovingly prepared.
Peggy's help went way beyond meal planning. I now know what she meant about life being so much better when you eat fresh, hand-prepared, chemical-free foods. You're eating life, life energy. At first this idea -- and the thought of shopping and cooking every week -- seemed insurmountable. But in a gentle, step-by-step, process filled with support and inspiration, Peggy helped me with restocking my pantry, shopping at Whole Foods, finding organic produce at my local farmer's market, and finally, putting it all together to prepare easy yet wonderful meals. I'm feeling so much better now and yet I know this is only the beginning of my recovery. Through private consultation and cooking classes, Peggy helped me rekindle and reconnect to my life energy. It feels like a miracle and a wonderful gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life."

"Thank you so very much for helping me to be a better mom and enlightened individual.
The last thing that I'll mention is something you threw out to us on Monday... The notion that we have to take care of and nourish ourselves before we're able to be most beneficial to our family really hit home with me! Since becoming a mom that is not something I've done. After both of my girls were born my excited energy was so focussed on them that I lost sight of my own well being... both times my weight quickly dropped to a frail 100 pounds (on a good day)... which if nothing else, caused my family and friends, especially my parents to worry! After this baby, I'll be more mindful of how much more I can be to all of them, by taking care of me too! Your insight is appreciated!
Thanks so much for everything... I'm having more fun in my kitchen than I ever have. I can't wait to learn more...more...more..."

| "Kitchen Blessings has totally changed my life and the lives of my family. The classes were educational not to mention delicious. Each of the eight classes I took were done in an atmosphere of love and support.
My whole approach to shopping and cooking has become much more fun and creative instead of routine. My family appreciates the love that goes into each new meal I prepare. In my life, I appreciate for the first time food as a blessing and not just something you put in your body to sustain you. Everyone should experience Peggy and Anne and their wonderful spirits. You are missing out if you don't."

| "Dear Anne and Peggy,
I want to thank you both for your commitment to not only teach other people how to cook a healthier and diverse menu, as wel as the importance of cooking with love in your heart rather than the old "what are we having for dinner tonight" dread.
As you both know, Rob and I have been conscious of a healthier diet through vegetarianism and exercise, including now and then (when time allots it) meditation and of course chiropractic! But I will admit that I wasn't fully aware of the importance of organic foods. I would sometimes buy organic and other times (usually around house payment and health insurance premium due dates) that I would skip what I thought was a more expensive luxury. It has been through your guidance that I have gently been reminded that organic, whether more expensive or not, will lead to a healthier body, thus in the end, not only saving money but feeling great!
I can attest that your genuine concern and love of family and friends pours out through your teaching methods of pure health through the proper preparation of foods. Today's women have depended on the "fast food trap", to help them through their insanely busy day. And through wonderful propaganda are fooled into thinking they are providing a healthy meal to their loved ones. I feel you teach people at all levels how to incorporate a healthier diet. Your desire to help people understand the importance of food is expressed in every class.
The menus have been wonderfully diverse and easy to prepare at home. There have been many recipies in your classes that I would have never tried. I have been pleasantly surprised by their delicious tastes! Thank you for opening my eyes to new experiences! Having the classes at your home gives a very personal and warm atmosphere, making learning all the more fun.
Thanks girls! Please, keep it up!"
